Anderson Responds to Tribal Member Death at Neshoba County Jail

On the morning of Tuesday, July 14, 2015, the Tribe was notified of the untimely death of enrolled tribal member Rexdale Henry, at the Neshoba County Jail. Tribal Chief Phyliss J. Anderson has been in contact with local and federal authorities since that time. Cellmate Charged in Jail Death of Choctaw Tribal Politician

The cellmate of a Philadelphia man has been charged with murder in his death in the Neshoba County jail. Sheriff Tommy Waddell says 34-year-old Justyn Schlegel was arrested this week in the death of Rexdale Wayne Henry. Waddell says Schlegel was in the cell with Henry when Henry died. The 53-year-old Henry, a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, was found dead about 10 a.m. on July 14. Waddell says Henry was jailed for failing to pay old fines. Vassar and Fireworks to Close Out NCF 2015

The final act of the 2015 NCF will be a long time singer and songwriter Phil Vassar. Phil Vassar is known for “Just Another Day in Paradise,” “Rose Bouquet”, “Six-Pack Summer” at No. 9, and finally “That’s When I Love You.” Tonight at the Grandstand at 8 pm.
